#REX ESSENTIAL PLUS OVERDRIVE P3D ACCESS PDF#
I started by fixing the runway length and heading based on information at skyvector and also some survey information this airport has on its website (the website has a very good master planning pdf document). I still need to add the missed approach but so far it looks good. I've made quite a lot of progress on adding the ILS RWY 12 approach to KEAT, including the DME Arc transition via waypoint WINIM. Load the approach on the GPS for reference (this is for situational awareness only).Make sure the DME is set for NAV2, but once on the LOC this needs to be switched to NAV1.When the VOR2 needle centers we'll be at point YOYUG Note that the RMI pointer will point at EAT and the airplane will generally be at that heading minus 90 degrees, plus or minus 5 degrees as the airplane moves through the arc Make sure the RMI pointer is set up for NAV2. Tune NAV1 to 109.35 (IADJ) and set course to 116 (this is the ILS course and frequency). To get this heading you take 90 degrees right from the 253 radial, then add 5 degrees to stay inside the arc. Set heading bug to 348 as the initial heading. To prepare for the approach I would do the following: I'll assume that before I start the approach I'll be in airway V120, descending from 11000 to 9400 before arriving at WINIM, following the GPS route in NAV mode. The route for this flight is here:įor reference, the approach plate is here: I'll make this part of a cross-country flight starting at KPLU (1S0 in FSX, see ). The idea is to fly the full approach starting at WINIM at 9400ft. I haven't flown the ILS approach that I coded yet, but I thought I would make some notes about how I plan to do it.
